place in youth culture, from the fairy tale cartoons to college pageants, yet awareness and knowledge
of true Queens in Africa where they are common, is almost non-existent. In
November 2012, the Queen Mothers of Ghana, West Africa will journey to the United States for
a historic visit to Atlanta, Georgia. We invite you to meet QUEEN MOTHER NANA AMA AMISSAH III, Paramount Queen of
Mankessim Traditional Area (and President of the Central Region Queens Association of Ghana)
at the Official Georgia Welcoming Ceremony & Youth Program, on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00PM at
the Atlanta University Center, Robert Woodruff Library.
