The Festival of African Royalty

The Festival of African Royalty is the first FIELD TRIP of its kind held during
school hours and produced in accordance with the California History Standards that recognizes African American"s rich
royal heritage. The Society's signature stage performance, "Queens of the Nile, Now" is the feature stage
event.

Century students into four of Africa's most renown and well dressed rulers,including the "boy king", Tutankamon.

Queen Mother Yaa Asantewa introduces young audiences to the Story of the Golden Stool.
