The Festival of African Royalty is the first fieldtrip of its kind produced
in accordance with national History / Social Studies Standards that recognizes African American’s rich royal heritage.
AN ACHIEVEMENT GAP ACTION STEP
Currently, QHS FESTIVAL OF AFRICAN ROYALTY (FAR) is one
of the most successful African American Student Achievement Gap efforts. Since 2000, over 50,000 K-12 students have attended
this exciting new standards based school field trip to learn about Culture and College!

royal history stage performances which highlights the Great Kings and Queens of Africa and a companion
